TUBING

Looking to spend a few hours floating along the river, relaxing in the sun, and hanging out with friends and family?  Come join us for a tubing trip on the Rappahannock.

We offer two different trips for tubing: a one-mile trip and a two-mile trip.  You can run the river multiple times, so come earlier in the day to enjoy the river as much as you can. Whichever trip you start on, you can repeat the one-mile trip as many times as you wish as long as you’re back on the river before 4pm.

One of our buses will pick up customers at the end point of the tubing trip, at Old Mill Park, every hour on the half-hour.  Pickups begin at 12:30 and end at 5:30.  [12:30 / 1:30 / 2:30 / 3:30 / 4:30 / 5:30]

See pricing by clicking on each trip below.

Trip times may vary with water levels.  Please call for reservations, and to check on water levels and shuttle times.

When:  Show up anytime from 10:45am to 3:45pm.  The last time that we put tubes on the river is at 4pm.  If you are here and ready to go by 3:45, we can get you on the water!

What:  This trip includes calm stretches, as well as sections with exciting rapids. $20/person ($18 for groups of 8+ that are paid by one person)

Where:  From our building down to Old Mill Park.  This trip takes an estimated 45 minutes to an hour, depending on water levels.  The take-out is after the Falmouth (Route 1) bridge, which is the only bridge you will go under on this trip.

When:  Report at 10:30 a or 1:30 pm for the shuttle upriver that leaves at 11 am or 2 pm. Reservations highly recommended for this trip.

What:  This trip begins with a set of rapids, then transitions into a peaceful stretch for the first mile.  The second mile of this trip is the one-mile section, described above.  For this trip, we shuttle customers up to the old Embrey Dam site, about a half mile upstream.  You may either get in there or continue walking up to the I-95 bridge, approximately a 15 minute walk. $25/person ($20 for groups of 8+ that are paid by one person)

Where:  From the I-95 bridge down to Old Mill Park.  The take-out is directly after the Falmouth (Route 1) bridge.  This trip takes approximately an hour and a half to two hours, depending on whether you put in at the dam site or walk up further.

1)  Lifejackets must be worn at all times while on the river.

2)  All customers must bring good footwear (not flip-flops) to wear during tubing trips.

3)  Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the river.  We do not provide cooler tubes; we ask that you keep food and drinks in your car, and you may picnic on our property along the river.

4) Minimum age for all trips is 6 years old.  Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parental signature on our release of liability waiver, which can be found here.

Again, please call us if you have any questions regarding the trip!
